This 1-hour course targets individuals ages 11+. The course features a study guide, two presentations, two activities, and a 10-question quiz. Topics include discussion of property damage related crimes to include burglary, larceny, theft, motor vehicle theft, extortion, embezzlement, arson, shoplifting, and vandalism. Activities include the use of real-life scenarios and researching state laws related to property crime. Participants gain knowledge of brain development and the impact on decision making while exploring alternatives to engaging in property crime behaviors. Resources are provided to participants.
